Endor...Gondor...Whatever :)
I have been reading through the book of 1 Samuel during my personal time with God and last night I was reading chapter 28. It was titled "Saul and the Witch from Endor". Knowing Adam enjoys Lord of the Rings and thinking this title sounded something like from the trilogy, I thought, "you know...I bet Adam will think I am so smart by mentioning this." So...I said... "Adam, doesn't this title "Saul and the Witch from Endor sound like something from Lord of the Rings?" Adam replied, "Sure does, but it was Gondor, not Endor (with a smile of course)." Well, it was worth a try. ;)

what we've been up to
It's been a long time since I have written but the past few months seem like a blur! With the move in May we didn't have the internet for about a week or so and we have been working on getting the house painted for company the past few weeks. We're not quite done with the painting yet but thanks to Adam's brother Daniel, Stephanie and Adam's parents we were able to get A LOT of the house painted and reparied. Once we're done with the painting we'll post some before and after photos of all the rooms. Only the living room and hallway left to go! Horray!
A few weeks ago my Grandparents, from Columbus, Ohio, got to come visit and see Nathan for the first time. We got to show them around the area and spend some quality time with them. We went to the Swope Car of Yesteryear Museum in E-Town(short for elizabethtown) and Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace. We had a great time with them.
The following week was VBS at our church-full of excitment and fun! The decorations and costums for the kids were so creative. I think the kids had a great time-I know I did!
At the end of last week we parents and siblings come for a visit from Sayre, PA-about a 13 hour trip. It was great to see them since the last time we saw them was around Thanksgiving of last year. They loved to play with Nathan and see how much he has grown. We showed them Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace, his boyhood home, went to the Kentucky Railway Museum and while my Dad, brother and sister and friend went for a train ride my Mom and Adam and Nathan went to this fabulous Chinese resturant in Bardstown to eat and do some shopping. Don't laugh-but we went to the dollar tree, one of my favorite stores! And guess what EVERYTHING is a dollar! (I say that only because other dollar stores like the Dollar general don't sell things for a dollar when they should-same or less quality for more $) Ok...I'll get off my soap box. We had a great time and hated to see them go since who knows when we will get to see them all again :(
The Monday they left Nathan and I went to N. KY to spend time with Grandma Alice and all the cousins. It is amazing how big all the kids are getting! Fun to watch them grow! We got to do some shopping, swimming and get some needed R & R after the past few weeks. Adam and his Dad went to the SBC National Conference in Louisville. It seemed like they both enjoyed themselves. Adam came home with a pile of books, pamphlets, and materials he got there which excited him to go through and read.
This week coming up is kids's camp with our church, so Adam is taking the kids to that while I stay here to watch Nathan. So...if anyone isn't doing anything...I'm game!
Nathan has been so fun to watch the past few weeks. It seems like everyday he is doing something new. Lately he's been waving "hi", clapping, and learning to eat using his fingers and trying to drink out of a sippy-cup. He can say "mama" and "baba." Still working on "dada."
Here are some pics of what we've been up to!

Big boy
Nathan is sitting up on his own (with a little help from proud mommy ;) ). He does great sitting up straight but falls over if he leans to one side. I have to spot him so he doesn't fall back and hit his head, but other than that he does great. He also laughes at himself after each time he sneezes. I guess he thinks it's a funny noise...:) We have entered the true teething phase with fussiness, not sleeping well and sucking on everything in site! I hope those teeth pop through soon!

M is for Moving in May
We closed on our house yesterday May 1st, so we are official homeowners now! Horray! I am excited to have a place to call our own now. Over the next month we will be slowly moving our things over to the new house in the midst of cleaning, painting, yard work at two houses, etc. No problem :) I've started to re-pack some things already but most of what is out can't be packed till last minute, but I am busting from the seams to move into our house. Patience.... I know :)

Our New House (Hopefully)
Below are two videos that we shot of the house we are hoping to buy. We are still a few weeks away from closing so the current owners furniture is still seen. Enjoy the video and let us know what you think.

Easter Fun
Friday and Saturday we went up to Northern Kentucky to visit family for Easter. On Friday we tried to get a picture of all the grandkids (8 total) all 4 years and younger. Needless to say...it didn't go so well. Next time it will be a backyard photo! We had fun watching the kids "duck hunt" while searching for over 100 mini rubber duckies in the yard (yes, easter eggs were mixed in with the eggs as well). I am sure there are a few left somewhere in the yard, which Mark (Adam's Dad) will most likely find while mowing! Today Nathan opened his Easter basket...well...I think he enjoyed chewing on everything the most. He got some bubbles, a teether you can freeze fruit in, baby buiscits, a bath toy and a food masher.

Iceman of the Year
When we went up for a quick visit to Louisville this past weekend Adam and I stopped by Home City Ice to say "hi". Nathan got his own Home City hat, which I think inspired Adam to dress him up while I was working out up at the church Monday night. So funny to see him decked out in Adam's shirt, hat and coat when I came home :) Enjoy!
